According to Daily Post, the call for the postponement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah, and a DSS representative, Garba Abdullahi.
The security operatives also revealed that Edo state is among the states that has been earmarked for the attacks.
They also said the postponement of the election will enable all relevant security agencies to deal with the threat decisively.
The security agencies pleaded for understanding, and also re-iterated their resolve to ensure peace and security in the country.
